Job DescriptionAutomotive High-Voltage: We Drive the Electrification of Cars
Our vision is zero-emission and autonomous mobility, based on electric vehicles. We control the electric current from the battery to the electrical consumers, whether a traction motor of an electric vehicle, a power steering system or an in-car USB charger. Our products directly impact the range, size, reliability and affordability of electric vehicles.
Your Role: As an Electrification Engineer for Power Electronics, you will focus on application of role: Traction Inverter, Focus product: HV Chips (SiC, IGBT)
You will be part of product development projects for chip products, responsible for defining the right-fit product requirements, deriving the target datasheet and being the internal technical interface to the product development teams R&D and customers in creation phase.
Responsibilities- Develop and coordinate projects in the area of performance benchmarking of our products' performance in application context system
- Contribute to design-in to design-win activities towards our success in high voltage discrete products
- Act as technical customer interface during product development accompanying technical coordination with our lead customers, fine-tune and agree on clarify requirements and support successful product - validation in the customer system design
- Closely collaborate with our regional field application AE/FAE engineering teams
We look for a highly skilled professional with a degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, physics or a related field. A PhD is a plus. You should have at least 3-5 years of professional experience in power electronics (automotive, industrial, consumer) in the semiconductor industry, at a research institute or as a hardware designer for power systems.
Experience in setting up and running tests for power components, technical leadership, know-how in power technologies such as SiC MOSFETs, knowledge in the creation of technical articles, presentations containing complex technical content and practical experience in working as a project member in a matrix organization is required.
Average Annual Salary in Austria: €80,000 - €110,000 depending on your expertise and skills.
