Product Manager Job Description

INNIO Jenbacher is seeking a dedicated and experienced Product Manager to oversee our lubricants product group, encompassing oils and coolants. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing independent consultation and support to the product group in terms of purchasing and sales, as well as conceiving and implementing private-label and co-label processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently advise and support the product group of oils and lubricants in terms of purchasing and sales
  • Maintain and further develop independently private-label and co-label processes, with our supplier partner
  • Focus on winning distributors and partners for our co- and private labels
  • Independently manage and execute projects related to oil and coolants
  • Intensive coordination with our suppliers (participate in price negotiation together with supplier, own brand filling, etc.)
  • Active customer and partner support on very specific requests
  • Closed cooperation with colleagues in field service, sales, and customer support as well as training activities for internal colleagues and external distributors
  • Perform potential calculations and other analytics
  • Coordinate with other departments within the group (e.g. sourcing, marketing, IT, etc.)
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; an MBA would be a plus
  • Proven experience as product expert or similar role in the oil and coolants/lubricants industry
  • Strong understanding of product management and purchasing processes
  • Excellent negotiation and customer service skills
  • Fluent in English (oral and written), any other language knowledge is an advantage
  • Ability to independently manage projects and coordinate with various stakeholders
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and enjoy working in a dynamic team and in an international environment
  • Experienced use MS-Office applications
  • Willingness to undertake occasional business trips (globally)
