About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse ETL Developer to join our team at Erste Group Bank. As a key member of our digital transformation journey, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality data warehouse solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop ETL code and workflows to extract, transform, and load data into our data warehouse
  • Collaborate with business analysts and experts to propose solutions that meet business requirements
  • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance to ensure data accuracy and reliability
  • Use SQL for testing phases and automate regression tests to ensure data quality
  • Manage release processes and prepare test data to ensure smooth deployment
  • Participate in agile team activities and communicate with business colleagues to ensure effective collaboration
  • Produce clean, efficient code and create technical documentation to ensure maintainability and scalability
  • Analyze and optimize existing systems and processes to improve data quality and reduce costs
  • Recommend and execute technical improvements to enhance data warehouse performance
  • Support the solution manager with technical requests and provide expert advice on data warehouse design and development
Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of database design, preferably Data Warehouse
  • Experience with testing and release management
  • Significant experience with Oracle and PL/SQL
  • Knowledge of test automation for Data Warehouse
  • Proficiency in Java and Oracle APEX
  • Proactive and assertive in addressing business issues
  • Strong analytical thinking and communication skills
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of the banking environment is an advantage
  • Fluent in English; German is an advantage
