We're seeking a talented Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team. As a key member of our QA team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products by designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and execute automated test cases using a Python-based test framework (PyTest), and contribute to increasing our automated test coverage.
- Run (pre-)certifications and support engineering teams in achieving approvals of various music services, including Google Cast, Spotify, and AirPlay.
- Review and optimize existing test plans, bringing in your own ideas to improve our quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with developers to identify, report, and track bugs and defects.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our quality assurance processes and initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide support to our Manual Testers as needed to ensure seamless testing processes.
- Follow and help implement further QA best practices across the department.
- Python knowledge: Familiarity with Python is crucial for contributing to automated tests.
- Strong interest in software testing: You're passionate about finding bugs and ensuring software quality.
- Experience in software testing: Prior experience in software testing, especially for embedded systems, is a plus.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts: Familiarity with basic programming concepts will help you learn and adapt to the specific languages used in the role.
- Basic understanding of Linux: Familiarity with the Linux command-line shell will be beneficial.
- Experience with tools: Experience with tools like JIRA and Git.
- Ability to learn quickly: You're a fast learner who can grasp new concepts and technologies quickly.
- Attention to detail: You have a keen eye for detail and can identify even minor defects.
- Communication skills: You can communicate effectively with developers, project leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English: Written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
