Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Platform Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Security Operation Center (SOC), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cyber defense platform to ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement, develop, and maintain our cyber defense platform to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with security analysts to develop new use cases that enhance our security capabilities.
- Plan and execute the rollout of new tooling, including stakeholder engagement and quality assurance.
- Contribute to the active innovation of our tooling, providing risk-benefit analysis to the SOC leadership team.
- Expand the reach of our existing tooling by onboarding new data sources and systems.
- Work closely with infrastructure teams, information security officers, and colleagues from the REWE Digital SOC to ensure seamless integration and communication.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a security operation center, preferably in a similar environment.
- Relevant education or training in computer science, information security, IT security, or cybersecurity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience working in complex corporate structures.
- Familiarity with industry frameworks and standards, such as NIST, ISO, and MITRE.
- Industry certifications like CISSP/CISN, SANS GIAC, or C.E.H. are considered advantageous.
- Experience with SIEM solutions, XDR, EDR, NDR, and PAM.
- Technical knowledge of Splunk, SentinelOne, Proofpoint, Cyberark, and other relevant tools.
- Expertise in network security, including VPN, firewall, web server security, and cloud security.
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language, such as Perl, Python, or PowerShell.
