Key Responsibilities

  • Work on the cutting-edge data ingestion pipelines OpenPipeline or enhance data storage and analytics capabilities within Grail.
  • Prototype, design, and implement low-level components in Java 21.
  • Optimize performance and ensure the reliability and resilience of the services in your domain.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Collaborate with product architects and cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
  • Mentor and support colleagues, fostering an approachable and supportive environment.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and performance of the software.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend/core development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in managing and processing large-scale data sets will be highly advantageous.
  • Collaborative and motivational personality with a proactive approach.

Compensation and Rewards

We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages. Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 56,000 gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience. For this position, we offer exclusive relocation support to our R&D Headquarters in Linz, ranked among the top seven most sustainable cities in the world, where cutting-edge innovation intersects with an exceptional quality of life and affordable living costs.
