Bar Waiter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Bar Waiter to join our team at a 4*S Hotel in Vorarlberg, Austria. As a Bar Waiter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Take beverage orders and serve them efficiently.
  • Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards.
  • Have a good knowledge of wine selection, wine service, and beer service.
  • Deal efficiently and courteously with all guest queries.
  • Deliver consistent, exceptional service in line with luxury standards.
  • Have excellent knowledge of restaurant menus to offer guidance and make recommendations.
  • Pick-up food orders from the kitchen and communicate with the chef regarding special preferences or allergies.
  • Ensure the bar and lounge stations are fully stocked, clean, and tidy at all times.
  • Clear tables and prepare for service by polishing cutlery, glassware, and crockery.
  • Complete closing duties, including storing reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment, and areas.
Requirements:
  • Have a passion for all things food and beverage.
  • Speak English at a high level.
  • Be able to help train and supervise team members to ensure consistent quality of service.
  • Previous experience in a similar environment.
  • Have a strong understanding of the high standards demanded from a 4* and 5* establishment.
  • Be creative-minded with a passion and respect for the provenance of food.
  • Relish the pressure of a busy restaurant environment.

The minimum salary for the position as Bar Waiter is EUR 2,400.00 gross per month based on full-time employment. Willingness to overpay.
