Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IoT Solutions Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of shaping the green energy future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Implementation: Collaborate with our Energy Engineer to plan and execute the deployment of IoT devices, ensuring integration with existing systems and adherence to industrial IoT standards.
  • IoT Device Development and Integration: Program and integrate IoT devices using languages like Python, C/C++, and JavaScript to enable real-time data collection and control.
  • Security and Communication Protocols: Implement secure communication protocols, including MQTT, Modbus, and BACnet, to ensure reliable and secure data transfer between IoT devices and the backend, following IoT security best practices.
  • Collaboration with Project Management: Work closely with the development team and Energy Engineer throughout all project phases, from concept to successful implementation, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of IoT systems.
Requirements
  • Experience with IoT Systems: In-depth knowledge of wireless IoT technologies and systems, including IoT platforms, scalable systems, and industrial IoT standards.
  • IoT Communication Protocols: Expertise in protocols like MQTT, Modbus, and BACnet, along with IoT security best practices such as device authentication and encryption.
  • Linux & SSH Navigation: Proficiency in navigating Linux environments, establishing secure SSH connections, and analyzing system logs and performance metrics.
  • Hardware & Integration Skills: Practical skills in drilling, wiring, basic electronics, and integrating IoT devices with existing systems and platforms.
  • Edge Computing & Cloud Integration: Experience with edge computing, cloud-based IoT platforms, IoT cloud integrations, data pipelining, and deploying applications on AWS.
  • Programming: Proficiency in languages commonly used in IoT environments, such as Python, C/C++, JavaScript, and TypeScript; knowledge of backend and frontend development is a plus.
  • Data Handling: Familiarity with data acquisition, processing, and storage from IoT devices.
  • Building Energy Systems: Expertise in building energy systems, particularly heating systems, for effective energy management.
  • Solutions Engineering & Problem-Solving: Deep expertise in designing and implementing IoT solutions with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Team Spirit & Collaboration: Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative startup environment with strong team spirit.
  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in German is a plus, aiding clear communication with stakeholders and team members.
