Purchasing Specialist

About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and processing purchase requisitions to meet demand requirements. This role involves coordinating purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost-effective and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze purchase requisitions to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness
- Process purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers, maintaining key supplier relationships and day-to-day interfaces
- Develop and maintain weekly reports to understand supplier performance and future demand forecasting
- Work with suppliers to ensure scheduled deliveries are met, and coordinate purchasing activities to meet business requirements
Requirements
- Commercial education, e.g., apprenticeship (LAP) or HAK
- Work experience in an industrial environment is an asset, but not a requirement
- Excellent MS Office skills, with ERP/SAP skills preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
Compensation
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for employees in the Metal Technology Industries in occupation group D or E, depending on education. A higher payment is negotiable based on expertise and skills.
