About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Manager for Passenger Coaches to join our team at Siemens Mobility in Austria.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing competitive bids of high quality in cooperation with specialist departments, including Sales, Engineering, and Project Execution. In interaction with Sales and Platform teams, you will define the technical solution to be offered. You will lead the bid team, organizing bid activities from tender release to hand-over in compliance with applicable processes and guidelines. This includes analyzing tender documents and controlling the bid process from offer preparation until conclusion, while adhering to the bid cost budget.

You will prepare customized bid documentation and a competitive cost and price calculation under consideration of the target price. You will identify risks and opportunities during the bidding phase to create a foundation for successful project execution in the event of an order.

Requirements
  • You have completed a technical university degree.
  • You have gained multiple years of experience in a comparable position in a project-driven international environment, ideally in the Rolling Stock business area.
  • You are confident in managing internal and external stakeholders in a matrix organization to achieve a common target.
  • You have a precise and result-oriented style of working and know how to present the essentials to management.
  • A fluent command of German and English is necessary for this role, as well as a willingness to travel internationally.
