Mechatronics Supply Chain Engineer

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Supplier Engineering and Technology team, you will play a vital role in resolving technical, quality, and production challenges with our suppliers. Your expertise will drive improvement in supplier quality and manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality products at competitive costs and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities- C Coordinate investigations of critical quality defects with customers and field service teams to identify corrective actions and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Drive improvement in supplier quality and manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
- Act as liaison/technical lead for cross-functional projects, including build verification and production readiness reviews.
- Audit and document supply base performance on critical process records and overall quality management systems.
- Collaborate with product management, global product groups, and supplier business managers to develop the supply base through close teamwork.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- University degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in mechatronics, automation, robotics, computers, controllers, PCBA, sensors, detectors, fluid dynamics, heaters, pumps, filters, flow, and pressure control.
- Creative thinking and strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Solid understanding of statistical process control and basic statistical analysis used in production settings.
- Knowledge of equipment and component manufacturing processes.
- Experience in supplier process development and quality management.
- Knowledge of Semiconductor equipment and Capital Equipment industry manufacturing processes.
- Effective communication and presentation skills in English.
- Statistical analysis skills, including statistical process control and data analysis used in production settings.
- Knowledge of Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA).
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group F. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise, and skills. The estimated monthly salary is €9,500 paid 14 times per year.
