About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer for Urban and Infrastructure Planning to join our team at Venergi, a joint venture between Wien Energie and Ramboll. This exciting opportunity will allow you to play a key role in designing and implementing projects that align with Vienna's goals of becoming a carbon-neutral city.

Responsibilities
As a Civil Engineer for Urban and Infrastructure Planning, your primary focus will be on facilitating both inbound and outbound transportation via truck and rail transport. You will collaborate closely with a team of engineers, planners, and other professionals, reporting to the general project leaders for large-scale projects to ensure that projects meet technical requirements, comply with regulatory standards, and adhere to budgetary and timeline constraints.

  • Conducting site assessments and implementing logistics feasibility studies
  • If necessary, supervising further logistics.
  • Planning, Execution by monitor timelines, implement quality control, and report progress.
  • Stakeholder Management by identify and engage stakeholders, facilitate meetings, and maintain effective communication.
  • Resource Management by coordinate project teams, manage budgets, and oversee procurement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Secure necessary permits and ensure adherence to regulations and standards e.g. Austrian Railway Act.
  • Risk Management by identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and prepare contingency plans.
  • Collaborating with the project teams, suppliers, and authorities to obtain permits.
  • Identifying opportunities to optimize rail infrastructure projects in terms of cost, efficiency, and environmental compatibility.

Your Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will require a completed degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualification. Additionally, you should have 8+ years of demonstrable project management experience in rail and truck infrastructure projects. Proficiency in project management software is also essential. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability, as well as effective communication and teamwork skills, are required. The ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively is crucial, as is a willingness to occasionally travel and work outdoors.
