Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and perform tax-related activities, including VAT reporting, reclassifications, and corporate tax calculations.
  • Develop and maintain a VAT and tax reporting calendar to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate tax reviews and track progress.
  • Document tax calculation processes and VAT procedures for Global Blue entities.
  • Monitor local tax changes and provide training to the GL and Reporting teams.
  • Implement SOX controls and propose improvements in manual control processes.
  • Collaborate with the Group Tax Director to address VAT and tax-related statutory audit questions in the SSC.
  • Work closely with the Group Tax Manager on tax-related matters.

  • Strong understanding of IFRS accounting transactions and tax principles.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and teamwork capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate within and outside the finance department.

Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in VAT and Tax, preferably in an international SOX and IFRS accounting environment.
  • Understanding of SOX controls and proficiency in MS-Office, particularly Excel, as well as experience with accounting software.
  • Advanced understanding of accounting ERP modules.
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken, with additional languages being a plus.
