Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Taxation Specialist to join our team at Global Blue. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and supervising accounting activities, including VAT reporting, reclassifications, and corporate tax calculations and accruals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and supervise accounting activities, including VAT reporting, reclassifications, and corporate tax calculations and accruals.
  • Build and maintain VAT and tax reporting calendars.
  • Track and coordinate tax reviews.
  • Document the current and deferred tax calculation process and the VAT process per GB entity.
  • Monitor local legal changes and train the GL and Reporting team.
  • Perform SOX controls and propose improvements in manual control processes.
  • Coordinate VAT and tax-related statutory audit questions in the SSC under the supervision of the Group Tax Director.
  • Work closely with the Group Tax Manager on all tax-related questions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting.
  • Minimum 7 years of practical experience in VAT and Tax.
  • Understanding of SOX controls and experience in an international SOX and IFRS accounting environment.
  • Very good MS-Office skills, especially Excel, and experience in working with accounting software.
  • Advanced understanding of accounting ERP modules.
  • Excellent English language skills (oral and written), with other languages a plus.
