Senior Tax Compliance Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Compliance Specialist to join our team at Global Blue. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accurate and timely submission of tax reports, as well as maintaining compliance with relevant tax regulations.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in taxation, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in VAT and Tax. You will be responsible for performing and supervising accounting activities, including VAT reporting, reclassifications, and corporate tax calculations. Additionally, you will be required to build and maintain VAT and tax reporting calendars, track and coordinate tax reviews, and document the current and deferred tax calculation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and supervise accounting activities (VAT reporting, reclassifications, Corporate tax calculations and accruals)
  • BUILD AND MAINTAIN VAT AND TAX REPORTING CALENDARS
  • TRACKS AND COORDINATES TAX REVIEWS
  • DOCUMENTS THE CURRENT & DEFERRED TAX CALCULATION PROCESS AND THE VAT PROCESS PER GB ENTITY
  • MONITORS LOCAL LEGAL CHANGES, TRAINS GL AND REPORTING TEAM
  • PERFORM SOX CONTROLS AND PROPOSE IMPROVEMENTS IN MANUAL CONTROL PROCESSES
  • COORDINATES VAT AND TAX RELATED STATUTORY AUDIT QUESTIONS IN THE SSC UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF GROUP TAX DIRECTOR
  • WORKS CLOSELY WITH GROUP TAX MANAGER IN ALL TAX RELATED QUESTIONS

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance and Accounting
  • Minimum 7 years of practical experience in VAT and Tax
  • Understanding of SOX controls, experience in an international SOX and IFRS accounting environment
  • Very good MS-Office skills, especially Excel, experience in working with accounting software's
  • Advanced understanding of accounting ERP modules
  • Excellent English language skills (oral & written), other language is a plus

Salary:

£65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience
