Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Layout Engineer, you will play a crucial role in executing projects essential for achieving Vienna's decarbonization goals by 2040, including:
- Upgrading existing energy production facilities, emphasizing circular economy principles.
- Developing new alternative energy generation plants, such as biomass, wind, and geothermal.
- Facilitating hydrogen production and application through the establishment of production facilities.
- Designing combined generation plants for heating, cooling, and electricity.
- Managing waste generation and treatment, including recycling and sewage sludge processing.
Your key duties will involve:
- Crafting efficient layouts for power generation structures in alternative energy facilities, optimizing spatial configurations for enhanced operational performance.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to incorporate green energy technologies into layout designs, ensuring innovative solutions are seamlessly integrated.
- Enforcing quality control measures to maintain accuracy and compliance in layout implementation.
- Supervising construction phases to guarantee adherence to design specifications.
- Leading collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery.
Your Team
You will be part of a team that embraces a Scandinavian-inspired work culture within a new Austrian joint venture, characterized by flexibility and a dynamic, informal environment.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in piping design and layout within the energy sector, including power plants and renewable energy projects.
- Proficiency in 3D design tools (CAD), with a preference for practical experience.
- Strong understanding of piping design codes and industry standards.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to work effectively in teams.
- Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of German is advantageous.
