Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Vienna, Austria. As a key player in the execution of projects crucial to decarbonization of Vienna by 2040, you will be responsible for designing and specifying mechanical systems for new and existing industrial plants and facilities contributing to the energy transition and the circular economy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and specify mechanical systems for new and existing industrial plants and facilities.
  • Integrate advanced technologies to enhance the efficiency of mechanical components.
  • Ensure adherence to pressure equipment directive, codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Cover all project phases, from concept design to commissioning.
  • Contribute to project deliverables, including equipment design and layouts, cost estimates, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with other trades to guarantee best project quality.
  • Interact with clients and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Lead sub-projects and work packages.
  • Mentor junior mechanical engineers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Practical experience as a mechanical engineer within one or more of the following sectors: energy conversion, generation and distribution infrastructure, chemical plants, industrial plants and facilities.
  • Practical knowledge of thermodynamics, solid and fluid mechanics, pressure equipment directive.
  • Experience in concept development, specifications of mechanical services and systems, site supervision, and commissioning.
  • Deep passion for driving positive environmental impact through innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
  • Excellent English language skills, German language skills are a bonus.
