Ramboll is providing recruitment services to Venergi, a joint venture between Wien Energie and Ramboll, driving Vienna's green energy transition through integrated, sustainable solutions.
We play a key role in making Vienna the most resilient and liveable city and society of the future by providing planning and engineering services in the areas of circular economy, renewable energy, and decarbonisation.
Key Responsibilities- Execution of projects crucial to decarbonization of Vienna by 2040, such as modernisation of existing energy production facilities, construction of new alternative energy generation plants, and combined generation plants for heating and cooling energy as well as electricity.
- Design and specify mechanical systems for new and existing industrial plants and facilities contributing to the energy transition and the circular economy.
- Cover all project phases, from concept design to commissioning, and contribute to project deliverables, including equipment design and layouts, cost estimates, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with other trades to guarantee best project quality and interact with clients and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
- Lead sub-projects and work packages, mentor junior mechanical engineers, and promote a Scandinavian-inspired working culture.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Practical experience as a mechanical engineer within one or more of the following sectors: energy conversion, generation and distribution infrastructure, chemical plants, industrial plants and facilities.
- Experience in designing components and systems aiming at generating, storing and distributing heat, cooling energy, steam, hydrogen, compressed air, gases or any other carriers.
- Deep passion for driving positive environmental impact through innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
- Excellent English language skills, German language skills are a bonus.
