About the Role:
Dentsply Sirona, the world's largest manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, is seeking a highly skilled Global Data Privacy Specialist to join its global data privacy team. This role will play a crucial part in supporting the company's data privacy legal and compliance activities in the EMEA and APAC regions.
Responsibilities:
- Document and maintain records of data privacy-related matters, including data subject requests, data incident management, data mapping, and more, for accountability purposes and compliance with data protection authorities.
- Conduct data privacy impact assessments and audits to evaluate compliance with privacy laws and regulations for the EMEA/APAC region.
- Review and respond to inquiries from employees, customers, vendors, and others regarding Dentsply Sirona's privacy practices.
- Assist with periodic assessments and reviews of privacy compliance programming, including tracking progress against defined procedures and policies.
- Assist with the creation of privacy training materials and presentations for business clients.
- Complete additional privacy-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree combined with first-hand experience in working in the data privacy field.
- Relevant privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) preferred.
- Experience working with the OneTrust Privacy Management platform or another major data privacy management platform strongly preferred.
- Fluency in English is a must, with another European major language (e.g., German) highly preferred.
- Ability to make judgments within defined local procedures to determine appropriate action.
- Strong change and project management skills, including time management and effective prioritization.
- Ability to work positively with various stakeholders, outside counsel, and cross-functional teams.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with a high degree of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to learn new topics and processes.
