Job Description

In this role, you will contribute to the development of trapped-ion quantum processors. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing scaling elements, conducting ion-trap fabrication, and investigating strategies to mitigate scaling blockers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop scalable ion traps for quantum computing applications
  • Conduct fabrication of ion traps, including defining routes and implementing yield improvement measures
  • Investigate and mitigate scaling blockers such as RF-capacity, dielectric losses, and cross-talk
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in Physics or Quantum Engineering
  • Passion for quantum computing and experience in semiconductor manufacturing or ion trap fabrication
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German
  • Independent and proactive working style with a willingness to work in an international team
