Job Description

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is seeking a highly skilled consultant to support the implementation of activities for the International Conference on Effective Nuclear and Radiation Regulatory Systems (RegCon26). The consultant will be responsible for coordinating preparatory meetings, developing the scientific programme, and promoting the Conference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical input for the creation of detailed agendas for all preparatory meetings.
  • Document preparatory meeting outcomes and action items, ensuring follow-up and accountability among team members.
  • Collate contributions from stakeholders to develop the Conference announcement and final programme.
  • Provide technical input in the development of impactful messages and communication products and materials tailored for the Conference.
  • Manage the submission process via IAEA's INDICO system, ensuring efficient tracking and handling of all submissions.
  • Compile, analyse, and report on data related to submissions, including submission rates, acceptance rates, and author demographics for reporting purposes.

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering, science, business administration, political science, international relations, law, public administration or related field.
  • Certification in Project Management is an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven project management experience.
  • Proven experience working in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment.
  • Proven experience in implementing large events at the international level.
  • Familiarity with the IAEA's INDICO system is an asset.
  • Excellent ability to communicate in English (written, spoken, and oral comprehension).

Working Arrangements

The remuneration for this consultancy is a daily fee of up to a maximum of €250, based on qualifications and experience. In case duty travel is required within the assignment, a daily subsistence allowance (DSA) and travel costs are provided. Health coverage and pension fund are the responsibility of the incumbent.
