About the Opportunity

AVL List GmbH, a leading mobility technology company, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to contribute to the development of innovative additive manufacturing solutions for fuel cell vehicles. As a researcher, you will have the opportunity to work on a thesis project that combines additive manufacturing technology with instrumentation and test systems for fuel cell vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative concepts by combining manufacturing and measurement technologies
  • Embed fiber optic sensor technology in additively manufactured components
  • Perform multi-physical simulation and analytical calculation of designs
  • Realize and construct demonstrators (prototypes) and test components/systems in the laboratory
  • Evaluate laboratory and simulation results in the field
Requirements
  • Ongoing studies in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Production Engineering, or similar fields
  • Basic knowledge of sensor technologies and additive manufacturing
  • Mastery of at least one 3D CAD software
  • Good knowledge of German and English
  • Structured and independent way of working with a willingness to learn
