Your New Adventure
We're looking for a talented Labor Relations Director to serve as a liaison between management and works council, providing expert advice and guidance on all labor-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate and administer collective bargaining agreements, handle grievances, and participate in dispute resolution processes with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, global and local HR or legal teams in developing and implementing labor relations-related strategies and initiatives.
- Proactively identify and conduct research on new trends and best practices in labor relations-related policies and processes, as well as other human resources issues, and make recommendations for changes.
- Provide high-quality employment law advice on a broad range of labor relations-related topics to enable the business to identify, manage, and report legal risk.
Your Background
- A university degree in Laws or Industrial Relations with a specialization in Labor Law, including Works Constitution Act, social insurance rights, income tax regulations, Data Protection Acts, visa, and works permission law.
- Knowledge in international labor law and M&A, including due diligence, would be beneficial.
- A minimum of 10 years of industrial relations management experience in a leadership role in local engineering/manufacturing-type environments, with a proven track record of successfully creating and managing positive labor relationships.
- Strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders and build relationships and internal networks at all levels, including excellent negotiation and influencing skills, creativity, and solution-oriented mindset, strategic thinking.
- Excellent communication skills in English and German, both written and spoken.
