Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at MED-EL. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our medical software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand and review software requirements, identify test scenarios, and create and execute manual and automated test cases.
  • Track and manage reported defects, including capturing relevant details, prioritizing issues, and collaborating with developers to facilitate timely resolution.
  • Perform regular updates and maintenance tasks on existing manual and automated test cases, test environments, and testing tools to ensure their effectiveness and relevance in an agile software development environment.
  • Incorporate exploratory testing techniques to proactively investigate and uncover potential software defects.
Requirements
  • Bachelors' degree or higher degree in a technical field or equivalent technical education; ISTQB Certification is a plus.
  • Expertise in test case design methodologies and proficiency in test automation frameworks like Appium; knowledge in database testing as well as in web and mobile application security testing is a plus.
  • Programming skills in an object-oriented high-level language.
  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken; German is a plus.
  • Positive attitude with excellent team-oriented and communicative skills, self-reliant and accurate approach to work, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset for effective teamwork.

Further Information

Annual gross salary from € 48,760.78, based on professional qualification and experience.
