Sentry is on a mission to revolutionize software development by helping developers create better, faster software. As a Senior Mobile SDK Engineer on our client infrastructure team (SDK), you will be part of a cross-functional group of engineers responsible for the client-facing operation of Sentry.

This includes building and maintaining mobile SDKs (iOS, Android, React Native, and Flutter) that send events to the Sentry backend. You will primarily own our React Native SDK and be involved in designing and evolving APIs and product experiences powering our Mobile offerings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Improving and evolving Sentry's Mobile products, such as building the future of performance monitoring and working on new technologies like Session Replay
  • Collaborating with other SDK teams on API and protocol design that scales (we ingest over a billion events every day)
  • Engaging with teams and stakeholders across the company to drive strategic initiatives for the mobile team
  • Writing unit and integration tests to ensure correctness and strong documentation to educate peers and customers
  • Assisting Customer Operations to resolve live customer issues when bugs sneak into production caused by the SDKs

Requirements
  • 5+ years as a Software Engineer and/or related role (e.g., mobile app developer, SDK engineer)
  • Experience in developing for mobile platforms (iOS and/or Android)
  • Programming languages used on mobile platforms
  • Experience with React Native, bonus points for experience with Flutter, C/C++, or maintaining open-source libraries
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional projects successfully
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills
  • Lived in the Vienna area or willing to relocate

We offer a competitive salary of approximately €95,000 gross per year, adjusted to the current market situation, along with an employee benefit package including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage. See Sentry Benefits for more details.
