As a highly motivated individual, you are eager to contribute to the advancement of quantum computing. In this exciting role, you will join a passionate team dedicated to making quantum computing a reality. Your main responsibility will be to lead the industrialization of trapped-ion quantum processors, driving the development of cutting-edge ion trap chips and advancing their integration into quantum processing units (QPUs). To achieve this, you will collaborate with top-tier customers and academic partners, co-developing the next generations of QPUs. Additionally, you will supervise master and PhD students, enable the research community through projects with academic partners, and drive technology development for trapped-ion quantum processors with focus on photonic interfaces.

You possess a PhD in physics, quantum engineering, photonics, computational physics, or similar field, combined with 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, quantum optics, and/or (trapped-ion) quantum computing. Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in German or willingness to learn is desirable. We value your passion for new technologies, clear communication, and team player qualities.
