Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Freight Procurement Expert Lead to join our Magna Corporate Purchasing Europe team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the commodity strategy for freight logistics commodities.

About the Role

  • You will develop and execute the commodity strategy for freight logistics commodities in alignment with the company's overall strategic objectives.
  • You will monitor and analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvements.
  • You will prepare request documents and associated bids, evaluate offers, negotiate, and present results to the sourcing board and management.
  • You will lead the negotiation, contracting processes, and supplier relationships for freight logistics commodities.
  • You will develop, negotiate, and conclude individual and framework agreements.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate commodity synergies and achieve the best possible outcomes for stakeholders.
  • You will work closely with the European Purchasing teams across Magna Groups.
  • You will enhance existing templates and tools to effectively present projects and savings.
  • You will improve data quality in existing systems.
  • You will lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of strategies and projects.
