Danieli Engineering & Services GmbH, a leading manufacturer of plants and machines for producing metals, is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to strengthen its team in Völkermarkt.

Job Overview

The Logistics Operations Manager will oversee the shipping department, ensuring accurate invoicing and shipment management. This role requires strategic thinking, leadership skills, and the ability to motivate a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate with forwarders to ensure optimal logistics solutions.
  • Individualize workloads and assign responsibilities based on specific features, abilities, and workload.
  • Order and process delivery orders, facilitating coordination between logistics subsidiaries.
  • Supervise daily operative tasks and check collaborators' work, respecting deadlines and contractual terms.
  • Prepare preliminary, updated, and final shipping/invoicing documents and loading lists.
  • Track and monitor shipments, interfacing with internal stakeholders, customers, banks, and authorities.
  • Lead the shipping team and consolidate corporate culture and values.
  • Set annual targets and monitor achievement of targets, guaranteeing qualitative and quantitative growth of personnel.
Requirements:
  • Completed education in logistics or a related field.
  • Good knowledge of logistics, customs, and Incoterms.
  • Leadership experience in a logistics environment.
  • Proficient English (B2) and German (C1) language skills.
  • Confident handling of MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA).
