Lam Research's Global Products Group is dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of cutting-edge etch and deposition products. We drive innovation to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products.
  • Implement new customer requirements and features in our existing application.
  • Maintain and enhance existing code base by investigating and resolving problem areas.
  • Demonstrate and present solutions through clear documentation, flowcharts, and well-structured code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop software programs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring for junior engineers.
  • May visit customer sites to provide support and have the ability to travel (less than 10%).

Who We're Looking For

  • Hold a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Have 10+ years of relevant experience in programming automation software.
  • Be proficient in two programming languages.
  • Familiar with Network, Serial Device Control, and IO Control Systems.
  • Have knowledge of Object Oriented Software implementation and design.
  • Experience with industrial automation software is a plus.
  • Have an analytical approach to root cause analysis.
  • Be able to troubleshoot complex systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Be self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Have strong communication skills with internal and external project stakeholders.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
