Job Title: International Wood Sourcing Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced International Wood Sourcing Specialist to join our Board&Paper Team at our headquarters in Vienna. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our wood sourcing strategy across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the implementation of our wood sourcing strategy across our network
- Facilitate an optimized sourcing model of roundwood and sawmill residues in various European markets, including development of a supplier portfolio
- Support in establishing international cooperations and new sourcing markets in Europe
- Lead quality optimization and wood acceptance projects, as well as logistic optimization initiatives
- Support to build a network of forest services companies in sourcing countries
- Develop and implement initiatives to facilitate data-driven decision-making and improving the cost of fiber and security of supply
- Coordinate international expert groups for specific wood-related topics and support wood certification and regulatory compliance

Requirements:

- Academic education with a forestry focus or related field and at least 7 years of relevant (international) wood market experience
- Deep knowledge of the forest and wood processing industry; experience in wood logistics and certification would be a clear plus
- Self-motivated, empathic team player with high social skills as well as excellent communication/presentation skills at all organizational levels
- Fluency in written and spoken English (C-Level), with additional languages (e.g. German) being a plus
