Dynatrace Research Lab is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Engineer to join our Generative AI research team. Our lab is situated in the heart of the Linz Institute of Technology (LIT) and is part of our Vienna and Hagenberg offices.

Research Field

  • We are looking for a researcher with expertise in large language models, and other generative AI-based applications in the software intelligence domain: Data processing, training, evaluation, prompting
  • Systems based on generative AI, like RAG or agent-based approaches
  • Components used with generative AI, like vector databases and embeddings

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in the field of Generative AI
  • Collaborate with our development teams to drive the adoption of research results for our product
  • Enhance current product capabilities with innovative customer value, using research results that are also guaranteed to scale to large enterprise environments
  • Mentor master students and ensure direction is in line with research strategy
  • Contribute to the global research community - publish and disseminate research findings in journals and speak at conferences
  • Actively take part in scientific and industrial cooperation projects

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related quantitative field
  • Track record of independent research in topics related to the research field
  • Proven experience of producing complete GenAI-powered solutions, from agile code development to cloud-based prototype deployment
  • track record of driving innovation towards product maturity
  • Excellent English skills (oral and written)
  • Deep understanding of latest developments in generative AI
