About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mainframe Architect to join our team at Erste Group Bank. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex mainframe systems that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement mainframe architectures that ensure security, scalability, and performance
  • Collaborate with the solution management team to design technical solutions that align with new specifications
  • Continuously review and update the system architecture to meet changing business requirements
  • Ensure compliance with IT security, reliability, and quality requirements
  • Lead and mentor junior team members to develop their skills and expertise
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Mainframe Software Architect or in a similar position
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in mainframe technologies and systems, specifically in Natural/Adabas or COBOL/DB2
  • Expertise in designing and implementing concepts for complex software solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking approach, and ability to dig through complex systems
  • Strong communication skills in English and German
  • High personal initiative, ability to work in a team, and across a whole IT organization
