Role Overview:
The Payments Services Department, part of Erste Digital's Core Services division, is integral to the seamless execution of both national and international payment transactions. We play a crucial role in compliance screening across the Erste Group, participating in numerous innovative projects within the financial sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and oversee the architecture of the central Payments System for Erste Group.
- Evaluate the current system architecture, identifying areas for enhancement and optimization.
- Collaborate with the solution management team to create technical solutions that meet evolving specifications.
- Continuously assess and update the system architecture to adapt to changing demands.
- Ensure the Payments System's security, scalability, and performance standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a Mainframe Software Architect or in a comparable role.
- In-depth knowledge of mainframe technologies, particularly Natural/Adabas or COBOL/DB2.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex software solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate intricate systems.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and German.
- High level of initiative and ability to work collaboratively across the IT organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in banking, particularly within Payments or Core systems.
- Strong understanding of IT security, reliability, and quality requirements for critical systems.
- Familiarity with additional programming languages and technologies, such as Java, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
