Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer to join our Plant Engineering Team in Germany or Austria. As a key member of the Grid and Control team, you will be responsible for commissioning and maintaining Vestas SCADA solutions and other automated functionalities in our power plants.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Configure and commission Vestas Power Plant Controls
  • Provide operational support to our wind farms
  • Offer technical advice to internal and external stakeholders
  • Interact with customers and third-party providers
  • Test interface signals
  • Support SCADA system upgrades and after-sales projects
  • Participate in site acceptance tests and grid code tests
  • Maintain technical documentation
  • Contribute to development and improvement projects to enhance product efficiency and customer satisfaction
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in engineering (electronics, software engineering, IT, mechatronics)
  • Professional experience in PLC programming, automation, or SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of industrial electricity and electronics
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (MODBUS, DNP, OPC)
  • Experience with computer networks and their configuration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Fluency in German is a plus

The primary work location can be Hamburg or Berlin in Germany or Vienna in Austria. The estimated salary for this position is approximately €60,000-€80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
