We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled thesis researcher to join our team at AVL List GmbH to work on a project focused on the optimization of existing brake prototypes to minimize wear particle emissions. Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional researcher to work on a thesis project that involves:

  • Familiarization with previous AVL studies on RDE brake emission measurement
  • Analysis, interpretation, and preparation of existing measurement results
  • Benchmarking of current brake and suspension concepts
  • Adaptation of the existing prototype to another vehicle
  • Test planning and execution of emission measurements on the test bench or RDE
  • Evaluation, interpretation, and documentation of the results

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Ongoing master studies in the field of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or physics
  • Independent, methodical, careful, and transparent approach
  • Interest in vehicles and skill in data visualization
  • Desired programming knowledge – Concerto
  • CAD experience is a plus
  • Driver's license B – safe driving behavior

Remuneration

The successful completion of the thesis is remunerated with a one-time fee of EUR 3,500 before tax.
