Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Expert Data Engineer to join our team at REWE International IT. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable data architectures on the Google Cloud platform.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement optimal data pipelines to support high-quality analysis and machine learning use cases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement data requirements.
- Develop and maintain extraction, transformation, and loading processes from various data sources.
- Ensure state-of-the-art methodologies are utilized to deliver future-proof, scalable solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud.
- Experience in creating scalable data pipelines.
- Familiarity with custom ETL design and maintenance.
- Knowledge of XML & JSON data formats.
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL or similar).
- Programming skills in R, Python, Java etc.
- Experience in creating data workflows via Kafka, Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow or similar tools.
- Experience in communicating via REST APIs.
- General experience in delivering a scaled data and analytics platform.
- Knowledge of dbt (data build tool) for data transformation and modeling.
- Independent and structured way of working.
- High level of ownership and ability to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
- English knowledge in spoken and written.
