Job Overview

As a pivotal component of the Dynatrace Platform, our .NET Agent plays a crucial role in the automatic instrumentation of .NET applications. With over 1.2 million .NET Agents currently deployed, we ensure comprehensive monitoring of essential customer applications and platforms, capturing all relevant metrics across the entire application-delivery chain.

In your role as a .NET Agent Developer, you will be responsible for implementing enhancements, modifications, and innovative features for our .NET Agent. If you have a passion for software development, high-performance systems, and a deep understanding of low-level operations, this position offers an exciting opportunity within a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop solutions for performance and availability monitoring using .NET.
  • Collaborate effectively with C# and C++ programming languages.
  • Conduct thorough analysis to understand the inner workings of prevalent frameworks through debugging and interrogation.
  • Explore beyond standard frameworks with a profound comprehension of IL code execution and garbage collection.
  • Independently design and implement new features, taking full ownership of your contributions.
  • Engage in intensive collaboration with both local and international development teams.

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer, with a strong focus on C#/.NET and intermediate experience in C++.
  • Solid understanding of C# and its core packages.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the .NET runtime.
  • Familiarity with tools such as CorProfiler, BenchmarkDotNet, and ILSpy.
  • A passion for developing high-performance algorithms and working with cutting-edge technologies.
  • A keen eye for detail while maintaining a holistic view of the ecosystem.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong desire to learn about innovative technologies.
  • Demonstrated motivation to ask questions and confidence in discussing ideas.

Compensation and Benefits

  • We offer competitive compensation packages and stock purchase options, along with numerous benefits.
  • As required by law, the minimum salary for this position is €56,000 gross per year based on full-time employment, with the potential for a higher salary based on qualifications and experience.
