About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HW/SW Development Engineer to join our team at NXP Semiconductors. As a key member of our Automotive Verification and Validation team, you will play a crucial role in the development of hardware and software that will be used to ensure the performance of NXP's latest Ultra-Wide-Band (UWB) and Near-Field-Communication (NFC) SoC's in the cars of tomorrow.

Responsibilities
  • Definition and implementation of hardware setups and lab environments
  • Definition and implementation of repeatable and efficient test software
  • Implementation of new features and test drivers in complex test frameworks
  • Development of test firmware for NXP's latest ARM-based SoC products
  • Support of hardware and software experts while debugging identified issues
  • Analysis / post processing of the results and reporting the conclusion
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information and Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar
  • Embedded firmware development (of test-applications) in C
  • Experience in C# and/or Python
  • Knowledge of NI LabVIEW/TestStand is a plus
  • Experience in PCB design, schematic and layout, knowledge of Altium is an advantage
  • Experience with lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers etc.) and RF measurements
  • Knowledge of automotive standards e.g., AEC-Q100, IATF16949 is a plus
