Job Title: AWS Cloud Solutions Sales Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Solutions Sales Engineer to join our team in EMEA. As a key member of our Public Cloud Services business unit, you will be responsible for identifying and understanding customer workloads and application stacks, architecting appropriate solutions, and onboarding customers into active consumption.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of public cloud technology, particularly AWS, and experience running proof-of-concepts for software, hardware, and cloud solutions. You will also be responsible for collaborating with colleagues across the world, with a focus on the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Qualify customer needs and the fit of NetApp solutions in AWS
  • Design solutions that may include software, cloud subscriptions, and professional services
  • Run technical workshops to demonstrate solutions
  • Design and run proof-of-concepts to illustrate the fit of solutions within the customer's environment
  • Present at customer and partner executive briefings, AWS and NetApp sales meetings, etc.
  • Enable the AWS architect community on the value NetApp solutions bring to their customers
  • Participate in / host industry meet-ups and user groups
  • Publish reference architectures, significant wins, etc, internally and / or externally
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in public cloud services
  • Acquire / maintain technical expertise
  • Develop or enhance processes and techniques employed by our sales and technical teams

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-driven & independently motivated
  • Strong technical knowledge of public cloud technology, particularly AWS
  • Experience running proof-of-concepts for software, hardware, and cloud solutions
  • Familiarity with container orchestration and container runtime concepts and solutions
  • On-premises infrastructure and workload, use case experience are a plus
  • A willingness to travel within EMEA to customer locations, and occasionally further in field
  • Fluency in German and English
