High-Performance Database Architect

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our IT department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database design, coding, and documentation, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Oracle Database Software, defining and controlling the setup of the Oracle database software to ensure optimal performance, applying patches and updates to keep the system secure and up-to-date, setting up and managing user accounts, granting appropriate access levels, defining and controlling autonomous database backups, regularly updating and enhancing database security protocols, creating storage database structures, designing and constructing high-security storage structures within the database, adapting storage configurations as per evolving needs, debugging and troubleshooting issues affecting database integrity.
To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other science/engineering related field, proven work experience as a Database Administrator or related field, familiarity with Oracle database design, coding, and documentation, knowledge of database backup procedures, recovery systems, and SQL, understanding of programming languages and APIs, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, ability and willingness to work with our IT outsourcing partner, ability to visualize algorithmic structures, and excellent communication skills in both English and German.
