St John WA is proud to invite applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for the role of First Nations Relations Specialist, a Full-time permanent position (37.5 hours per week) based in our Belmont office.

In this role, you will play a vital part in advancing our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) initiatives, strengthening our commitment to cultural safety, and fostering authentic relationships built on mutual respect and trust.

What you'll do :
Oversee the implementation of the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and First Nations Engagement Strategy Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal and external First Nations stakeholders Enhance organisational understanding and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and rights Create and manage engagement plans with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations Provide expert advice on cultural protocols and support internal education and cultural awareness initiatives Drive key projects and events, including NAIDOC Week and National Reconciliation Week activities Prepare detailed reports on First Nations relations and engagement progress What you'll need :
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in community engagement or First Nations relations Experience in managing Reconciliation Action Plans (RAP) or First Nations programs (desirable) High level of First Nations cultural awareness and knowledge Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to manage complex projects and provide culturally informed advice Proficient across MS Office suite and high attention to detail What's in it for you?
