Your new role
Are you a Fire Safety Design Engineer looking for your next challenge?
This role gives you the opportunity to develop professionally in your career alongside industry experts.
You will support an existing and growing portfolio of projects, joining the Infrastructure Buildings and Defence national team.
You will contribute to and assist on projects Australia-wide.
In this position, you will be responsible for assisting and developing fire safety engineering design solutions for buildings, defence, and transport infrastructure projects.
The role will also interface closely with fire protection engineering and other disciplines within the company and externally as required.
Engage in fire safety engineering tasks such as successful delivery of discipline projects, including identifying project risks, problem-solving, communicating issues, and delivering solutions.
Manage small, medium, and large-sized projects throughout their entire lifecycle.
Handle fire safety design for various building projects, including generating reports, conducting studies, performing design calculations, creating drawings, and specifying requirements.
You will have the opportunity to thrive in a client-facing role with the ability to develop business.
Act as a senior representative for the company, managing client relationships.
What you'll need to succeed
Degree in Fire Safety Engineering or relevant degree.
Working knowledge of the BCA and fire safety engineering processes in Australia.
CPEng / RBP or working towards CPEng is highly desirable.
5-8 years local experience, predominantly within a consultancy environment.
Business development and client engagement expertise.
'Can do' attitude and drive to lead by example.
Excellent time management, leadership, and teamwork skills.
Superb interpersonal and communication skills when liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
