Add expected salary to your profile for insights.Our client is a renowned academic institution and holds several impressive local and world rankings in its field, as well as being named an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency for several years.On account of continued growth, a brand new opportunity has arisen for a passionate and innovative lawyer to join the organisation's welcoming and collaborative in-house legal team in Melbourne's CBD.
This position will assist in navigating the complexities of education regulation, ensuring compliance and advocating for best practice.The position reports to a Senior Legal Counsel and provides plenty of senior stakeholder engagement and interaction, as well as the opportunity to contribute to critical projects that influence educational policies and enhance student outcomes.The successful candidate will be a commercially focussed lawyer with a minimum of 3 years' PQE from a commercial law practice or in-house environment.
Experience advising on regulatory issues or an interest therein will be highly regarded.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide advice and guidance on regulatory matters.Provide legal and strategic advice and support.Advise on, negotiate and draft a wide variety of agreements, policies and processes.Point of contact for internal clients and external parties across relevant portfolios.Develop relationships with key stakeholders and their teams locally and internationally.Enhance and maintain template documents.Liaise with external advisors.Provide training where required.This is your chance to make a real impact in the education sector.
