The Major Planning Projects Unit within the Transport Strategy and Planning Branch is responsible for the planning of significant and major projects of statewide and national significance.
In the role of the Manager (Project and Stakeholder Engagement), you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of communication and engagement strategies and activities to support the Major Planning Projects unit and the greater Transport Planning Projects Section.
Some of your responsibilities will include: Lead the development and implementation of communication and engagement strategies to support Major Planning Projects in-line with Queensland Government protocols, including through business case development and during corridor protection activities for road, rail, and passenger transport.
Provide high-level advice to senior leadership regarding communication issues and requirements relating to the Major Planning Projects Unit program and greater Transport Planning Projects Section initiatives.
Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate cooperation, coordination, and enhanced communication channels.
Manage the development, production, and delivery of communication materials including electronic media, face-to-face communication, events, meetings, online consultation platforms, and printed materials.
Coordinate communication and engagement activities across Major Planning Projects Unit and Transport Planning Projects Section both internally and externally to achieve integrated and consistent outcomes.
Prepare ministerial correspondence, project reports, presentations, briefing notes, submissions, and other general correspondence.
Ensure appropriate governance frameworks are maintained and adhered to in order to monitor compliance with policy, legislation, regulations, standards, and procedures.
Requirements of the role: Qualification in communications or a related discipline would be highly desirable.
Proven track record and experience in Government communications, and development and implementation of stakeholder engagement strategies.
Proven experience in liaising, communicating confidently, and building relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in graphic design and communications software packages.
Applications will remain current for 12 months.
