To put it simply, we want our people to thrive and love the work they do.About the JobThe Investments Domain Architect will develop, maintain, and implement architecture that supports the strategic goals and technology needs of the investment business. They do this by collaborating with leaders within Investments to create scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that facilitate robust investment analysis, decision-making processes, trading, and regulatory compliance.Key Accountabilities/ResponsibilitiesDefine and maintain the reference architecture for the investment domain, ensuring alignment with the Rest enterprise architecture principles and standards.Collaborate with the business stakeholders, enterprise teams, other solution architects, and IS&T delivery teams to understand the business needs and translate them into architecture solutions.Work on projects to deliver solution design artefacts including conceptual designs, high level designs, technical assessments, and solution options papers.Conduct architecture reviews and assessments for the investment domain, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Work closely with the Investments Data Architect to ensure Investments data solutions align to Investments' target state architecture and standards.Actively participate in RFP and other vendor selection activities, including architectural assessment and scoring of vendor proposals and products.Lead and facilitate architecture workshops and forums for the investment domain, engaging with the relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts.Provide architecture guidance and governance for the investment domain, ensuring compliance with the architecture policies and frameworks.Research and evaluate emerging technologies and trends for the investment domain, providing recommendations and insights.QualificationsAbout You:QualificationsA bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.Certifications demonstrating expertise in enterprise architecture or investments software would be a benefit.Required experience, understanding or credentials including:At least 5 years of architecture experience within investments and 10 years within financial services.Experience communicating vision and setting architectural roadmaps.Proven track record of designing and implementing complex investment systems and platforms.Demonstrated ability to design solutions within a cloud-only technology environment involving software-as-a-service systems, investments industry data providers, cloud infrastructure, and end users.Familiarity with front, middle, and back-office operations and the technology required to support them.Understanding of investment products, asset classes, and financial markets.Strong grasp of investment workflows, trade lifecycle, risk management, and performance measurement.Knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the investment industry.Experience working within an enterprise architecture governance framework.Awareness of current trends in FinTech and how emerging technologies can be leveraged within the investment landscape.Familiarity with information security principles as they relate to investment data.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance trade-offs and prioritize requirements.Additional InformationOur benefits have been designed so you can tailor your experience with us and include:Personal and professional development opportunitiesPurchase leave scheme and gender neutral 16 weeks paid parental leaveSuper Contribution Continuation for 12 Months of parental leaveMeeting free breaks (Rest Stops)Income Protection InsuranceRest Excellence awards (peer recognition awards based on Rest's values and behaviours)If you share our values, believe you can help make a difference for our members and want to be part of a leading superannuation fund with a Super culture, please click Apply Now.Rest is committed to creating a flexible work environment and culture that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion - where people feel welcome, safe to be themselves and inspired to do their best.We value the different backgrounds, lived experiences and abilities our diverse team brings.
