The Opportunity HumanAbility are seeking an Executive Director of Finance and Operations to partner with the CEO in steering HumanAbility towards its strategic objectives while ensuring financial sustainability and compliance with legal obligations.
Key Accountabilities: Provide strategic oversight and operational leadership in business planning, financial management, reporting, and analysis.Deliver high-level financial performance insights to the CEO, Board, and key stakeholders, including operational reports for the Board.Ensure compliance with all legislative, regulatory, and funding requirements.Develop and implement financial strategy recommendations.Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and monthly and year-end financial statements.Support budget development and monitor KPIs aligned with the strategic plan.Develop and manage contingency plans and related contingency funds.Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including financial institutions and operational suppliers.Manage company insurances to ensure adequate coverage for identified risks.Oversee IT providers to ensure efficient service delivery that meets business needs.Guide the HumanAbility team to ensure effective service delivery.Build and lead a strong, high-performing team.The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a candidate with the following attributes and experience:
Proven senior-level management experience in a relevant sector.Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development.Demonstrated expertise in strategic financial planning, providing actionable insights to executives and boards.Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, taxation, and compliance.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence key decisions.Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels of an organisation.Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.If you're ready to make a difference, please apply via Seek with your cover letter and CV.
