About the role
Role impact & contribution
As an Associate, you will develop and deliver Climate Finance Programs projects in partnership with and supporting business owners within Treasury and other agencies.
The role will contribute to projects which are effective, innovative and meeting the government's priority objectives while demonstrating good value for public expenditure.
The role also contributes to the development, monitoring, improvement and evaluation of the projects.
You will be joining our **Financial Management Services **Group and will be working within the Climate Change and Balance Sheet Division.

What you can bring to the role
In this integral role there are a few things we would like for you to have to best support yourself and add value to the people of NSW.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
Project management skills demonstrating the ability to deliver agreed outcomes on time, on budget, and to quality standards, and demonstrated time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
Knowledge of the operational requirements for the successful delivery of sustainability, climate change, resilience, adaptation and/or net zero emissions programs
Solid financial background with ability of reading and analysing financial statements
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to identify any trends or anomalies.
Strong written communications skills, with the ability to produce detailed, clear and actionable briefs.
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability and desire to communicate with a variety of stakeholders to influence and manage relationships, including communicating financial and policy analysis clearly, accurately and effectively (verbally and in writing).Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks effectively and ask for support when needed.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as finance, economics, public policy, or a sustainability-related field.
