This is a unique opportunity to join Zoos Victoria and play a part in our exciting future at Werribee.
Our skilled team is expanding to develop and then maintain the additional gardens and exhibits.
As a member of our Horticulture team, you will deliver exciting new landscapes, maintain existing landscapes to agreed standards of horticulture presentation, undertake landscape renewal, and land management of gardens, browse plantations, exhibits, and areas of natural habitat at Werribee Open Range Zoo.
You will work with other Horticulture Team members, taking direction from Horticulturists, Coordinators, and the Horticulture and Grounds Manager.
We are seeking motivated, results-oriented applicants that are team-focused.
A strong work ethic, time management, and teamwork skills are essential to this role where you will be working autonomously and as part of a team.
You will work with the team to deliver high standards of Horticulture maintenance and project delivery.
Selection Criteria A strong interest and/or experience in Horticulture.Training or qualification less than a Certificate III in a relevant horticulture discipline.Current Victorian driver's licence.Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and contribute to a positive team culture.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Safe work practices.For more information on this role, please refer to the position description available on our current vacancy's webpage at zoo.org.au/hr.
