National Sales Manager @ Powerplants (PPA) Who are we? Celebrating 30 years of working with growers, wholesalers, researchers, and government authorities, Powerplants has a history of advancing plant production by offering innovative solutions that combine our industry knowledge with the latest developments in global products and services.
We are Australia's premier Commercial Greenhouse Technology provider.
Past projects include improving government policy, developing industry-leading facilities, and helping prepare the industry in the face of unexpected climate hazards.
PPA supplies end-to-end solutions to align with the customers' existing infrastructure or tailored full turnkey solutions.
Our solutions include climate systems, control systems, water systems, and automation and labour-saving products.
We have a strong focus on improving food quality, accessibility, and environmental sustainability.
Our team provides growers with vital technical solutions & support to improve crop quality and productivity.
The role Due to expansion, we are looking for a National Sales Manager to join the team.
Responsible for delivering the commercial activity in the "General Business" segment, managing the account managers, the estimation team, and the marketing team in conjunction with the Commercial Director and the CEO.
Key activities include: Driving revenue growthForging strategic partnershipsExpanding market share and geographical regionsLeadership, management, coaching, and motivation of Sales & Estimation TeamCore objectives include: Leadership, Management and People Lead and mentor the commercial team, providing guidance, support, and training.Oversee and manage individual performance of the sales and estimation team.Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.Develop close consultative relationships with new and existing customers.Develop knowledge and skills with all Powerplants products.Foster strong personal relationships with key contacts at major suppliers.Contribute to the negotiation of major contracts and agreements.Achieve annual sales budget leading by example.Strategic Business Development, Planning and Reporting Oversee the creation and implementation of the Strategic Marketing Plan.Oversee the creation and implementation of the National Sales Plan.Develop sales budgets in conjunction with the Commercial Director and CEO.Monitor competitor activity and market developments.Support the Commercial Director and CEO in providing leadership.Assist in employee recruitment and performance evaluation.Company Profile & Network Build and nurture the company's network.Attend industry events, conferences, trade shows, and networking functions.Cultivate strategic partnerships with other allied organisations.Governance Communicate in a timely way with the Commercial Director and CEO.What you bring Bachelor's degree/Post Grad in Business, Commerce or a related field is preferred.Proficiency using MYOB Advanced is advantageous.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Experience in technical consultative sales in a project environment is highly regarded.To succeed in this role, you will have experience in: Min 10 years of experience in a similar role.Experience in horticulture or construction industry is highly regarded.A demonstrated ability to build rapport and deliverables.You are: Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service.An excellent communicator: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.Focused on Detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills.Commercial: ability to apply knowledge in a practical manner.Strong Analytically: ability to analyse marketing data and metrics.Creative: strong creative skills to contribute to the development of marketing materials.Organised: very organised to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Adaptable: able to adapt to changing priorities.A Team player: ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Knowledgeable: excellent knowledge of Sales and Marketing ideology.Important and must haves: This is a FT role (5 days per week).Minimum 4 days per week in our Hallam office.There will be domestic travel, including overnight stays.International travel may be required - you must hold an up-to-date passport.You must hold a valid driver's licence and the right to work in Australia.WHY WORK FOR US Our purpose is to improve the quality of people's lives.
