Position : Paediatric Consultant
Location : Northern Region of South Australia
Work Type : Part-Time (1 day a week, including on-call)
Contract : Permanent
Total Indicative Remuneration : $372,783 - $483,861 p.a.
(pro-rata) – MD2
About the Role :
Clinical Duties : Deliver high-quality paediatric care including neonatal resuscitation and general paediatric consultations.
Conduct baby checks, rapid access clinics, and general paediatric clinics.
Participate in on-call services on a 1 : 5 rotation, including after-hours coverage.
Maintain clinical records and coordinate follow-up care for hospital patients.
Engage in clinical audits, safety activities, and service planning meetings.
Teaching & Education : Support and contribute to continuing education programs in maternity services.
Administrative Duties : Prepare reports and adhere to hospital policies and administrative guidelines.
Participate in performance appraisals and mandatory training.
Seek leave approval and engage in necessary administrative tasks.
Key Requirements :
Qualifications : Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) or equivalent.
Eligible for registration as a Specialist with the Medical Board of South Australia.
Skills & Experience : Extensive experience in paediatric care, including newborns and general paediatrics.
Commitment to high standards of medical practice and quality improvement.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
